What is Stablecoin reserves?

Stablecoin reserves are assets held or designated to support a stablecoin's redemption or collateral model. The reserve composition, custody, legal claim, liquidity, and reporting process vary by issuer and design; the word 'reserve' alone is not a guarantee of repayment.

Read the issuer's current reserve disclosures and redemption terms rather than inferring safety from a token symbol. Attestations and audits have defined scopes and dates, and should not be presented as proof that every operational, legal, or market risk is absent.

Reserve composition affects liquidity and credit exposure. A description of reserve assets should identify the reporting period and should not imply that assets are segregated or directly available to every token holder.

Definitions are educational and general. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice, and regulatory descriptions summarise frameworks that change — check the current rules for your jurisdiction before relying on them.
