What is Blockchain network?
A blockchain network is a set of nodes that follow a protocol to agree on and update a shared ledger state. Networks can differ in consensus, execution rules, fees, finality, and asset identifiers; an address or token on one network is not automatically valid on another.
Payment requests should bind the intended network explicitly and verify transaction evidence on that network. Similar address formats do not make networks interchangeable, and a user interface should clearly distinguish production networks from testing environments.
When a product supports multiple networks, maintain a reviewed mapping of asset identifiers, confirmation policy, fee behavior, and operational dependencies for each network rather than using a ticker alone.
